Now that Michigan has finished and the results are a Romney win, it makes me wonder. What was the cause of Santorum not finishing the way the talking heads thought he would? I have two schools of thought. First, middle America (shoot many on the right) my feel that Rick is to pushy with his religion. Sometimes he smells of Theocracy. Or could it be that Romney just looks like the best chance to defeat Obama? What is your opinion? Inquiring minds want to know!

Romney... uugghh! The establishment's chosen one being forced down our throats. When will the "powers that be" in the GOP finally here the outcry of WE THE PEOPLE. Ever since Reagan, we have suffered through a list of moderate republicans (affectionately labled RINOs in this house), and where has it gotten us? If our last moderate presidential candidate (and all the years of a moderate republican representation) earned us the likes of Obama imagine the following:
Let's say that Romney manages to pull out a victory over B.O. After four years of a Romney administration where our commander in chief holds his finger up to feel which way the wind is blowing on any given day, imagine the trouble our country will be in by then? All of those independent voters who were sick of B.O. will be saying, "Well those Repbulicans certainly didn't do any better!" And then what? B.O. was the result of the last 20 years of moderate leadership; I can only imagine in my worst nightmares what those leftist progressives will be introducing (brainwashing) the "99%" with at that point.
What has the Wall Street Journal had to say about Mitt Romney and his economic plans? Lukewarm at best. And let's face it, has Mitt really laid out specifics on how he plans to turn this economy around? All he ever says in the debates is, "We're going to get the American people working again." HOW MITT? However, the WSJ has called Santorum's plan "Bold" and Gingrich's plan "Dynamic". Economic strategy should be the number one issue of this election, but the MSM (or should I say LameStream) and the "Good Old Boys" running the moderate GOP constantly want to divert our attention elsewhere - for Santorum, the religious zealot seems to be what they are aiming for.
Are Rick (and Newt for that matter) both speaking about religion? YES, but only as it relates to our 1st Ammendment rights. If they (and ourselves) don't stand up and shout at the atrocity of this HHS mandate, then Benjamin Franklin's greatest warning will come true. (Paraphrasing: "A Constitutional Republic - whether or not you can keep it - well, that's yet to be seen!" However, the MSM and "moderate" GOPers won't even get to the heart of this issue and constantly try to nail Santorum with, "You want to ban contraception" and Gingrich with, "Don't you consider yourself a hypocrite? How can you of all people talk about religion?"
I say, WAKE UP!!! Read Santorum, Gingrich, and Romney's economic plans. Research, read, listen to the specific ideas they are laying out. Do not be fooled by this roller coaster ride that the establishment on both sides wants to derail us with. I personally like the idea of a flat tax, pro-blue collar jobs, $2.50 (maximum price) gasoline, etc. that the Santorum or Gingrich plans have to offer. It's down to the two of them for me. In all honesty, it will be very difficult to pull the lever for another "middle of the road/flip-flopping" candidate like Romney. I think that if he becomes the candidate, I will work ever so hard on our local, state, and federal house and senate positions, but the presidency won't mean nearly as much because a progressive is a progressive - it's just how fast you get there and who gets the blamed pushed on them in the end.
I know this is long, but PASSION about true conservatism and liberty is at stake here!!!
